Absolutely amazing work!!!! I had an issue with one of my jeans not fitting around the waist as close as I wanted it to and he fixed it to the point where I couldn't even tell. Sitting in Rick Bailey's you get the feeling you're in on the ground floor of something big. I happened in on a recommendation but it struck me that in a year's time I'd probably need an invitation for this kind of work. Even sitting in his studio is... a ride, you never know who you're going to see in there—artists, industry folk, anyone who gets the vibe and cares about being careful with what they put on their bodies. I've been around a lot of artists at work so I know it when I see it and this one's a master of his craft in one of the few crafts where that still means something. When you're there for a fitting you can watch him work through details you wouldn't even know to ask about at another shop. If you want to be a sucker you'll head down to the fashion district and pay a fortune for a suit cut to someone else's body. If you want to do it right you'll get measured up at Rick Bailey's in the garment district while the going rate is still ground floor and the ground floor is still there to be gotten on. Read more
